Its rained twice in past 6 weeks here.

Yep comes into effect Thursday, get caught cleaning your car with a hose pipe and its a £1000 fine.

So one day left

Oh deae. Finally decide to get my car mapped, and I can't get Tesco 99/V Power. Then want it looking shiny for the German trip and can't clean it!

Any way they can find out? My car is hidden and no neighbours can see me clean it.

I will get one of these

It will solve a lot of issues for me, our communal parking makes getting power and a hose a nightmare to our cars

I bought a pond hose for my pressure washer so I draw water directly from a bucket, do you think the neighbours will think I'm still using a hose and report me?

EDIT/ Just found this: The fine applies to "drawing water, using a hosepipe, for domestic recreational use"
So that means I can't fill a bucket with the hosepipe and then wash my car with it! BUT, I could go into the house and fill the bucket there. Silly.

the wording I loved was ... "Customers can still water their gardens with a watering can and can still clean their cars with a bucket and are actively encouraged to reuse bath water and washing-up water for such jobs."

The concept of washing a car with dirty bath water or washing up water is beyond comprehension !

But you're not allowed to draw water from a hose pipe, so, to fill up your watering can or bucket, you need to use a tap... so does this mean you just pop the hose off the outdoor tap and just fill <beep> up, sans £1000 fine?
I hate this.

Quote from the YouTube clip:

"it was unable to remove a wet leaf from the front of my van, and was unable to remove dried on bits of leaf from the wheel well, it did not have enough power to remove a spiders web from the side mirror."
