Every now and again I get a album duplicated on the iTunes library, so all the songs that are doubled up appear next to each other. Anyone know why this happen? Is there a way to stop it??

I sometimes get the same thing when itunes decides to re-sync its libraries across 2 users on the same PC. Glitch in the matrix I think - it doesn't then sync 2 copies onto the ipod. If I can be arsed I go through and clean it up - there's an option to show duplicates but mostly that just picks up multiple versions of tracks off compilation albums

Cheer fella. I know how to clear duplicates, but, it will also erase the same song from say of different Album.
Bloody stupid, ipod fantastic, iTunes rubbish.

If you email iTunes, even if they don't sort it, they often give you some free download for your trouble
