Helicopter Crash

Just reading about the helicopter crash this evening - on it's way to one of the BP rigs from Aberdeen.

I know we have a lot of Aberdeen oil members on our forum, hope you guys are all safe and not involved.

All rescued OK apparently which is great. The Aberdeen boys have been very sociable and hospitable to me when I've been up there. Hope you are all OK, Steve, Frank et al.

Yes all very lucky to get out of that one. I'm ok thanks for the concern Martyn currantly offshore but not any were near that platform hope no one on here was involed

Seriously though, lucky escape for the guys, I think it could have easily been a lot worse. Fortunately for me I'm rarely in the UK sector and do most of my work offshore in Denmark

Yeah, its always good to hear stories like this when things turn out alright. Its a rare thing indeed. I wish i was travelling on a nice North Sea chopper nowadays instead of the old Hueys they use in Angola. Its like being back in Nam... lol
