Looks very glam but Mirages, as in the clip, low flying over water where targets for us in 1982.

We where using missiles not birds to try and take the Mirages (and Skyhawks) out. Birds might of worked though

This is so funny. Jet taking off from under water. people have way to much time on their hands to fake this stuff. I saw it and had to watch about 3 times.

It's a Trident Missile launch with a F15 put over the missile.

'Cos Ballistic Missile launches are just like that, initial air pressure push from the launch tube to above the surface of the water then the main rocket engine fires...almost looks like they hang in the air before the thrust kicks in...plus the fact that F15s don't launch from underwater as Jet engines aren't at their most effient when full of salt water.

It might have been a Polaris/Posiden or Trident ICBM but certainly US sourced and probable Trident.

My dad helped design missile guidance systems (amongst other things) when he worked for both REME and MCCS (Marconis) before he retired. Unfortunately he's never told me a thing about such stuff so I had to find out on the "Interweb".
