What you guys think? I thought it was a great grand prix for once, although at first when I saw Ferrari .5 second faster than the second row i feared the worst..

vey enjoyable I thought - heres to many more GPs like Australia

It was a great race, lets hope the rest of the season is as good. We don't want the same type of season as last year.

It was a top race wasn't it! But then we had lots of factors which aren't normally about - new cars and colour schemes, new teams, new drivers, slippery conditions, and of course the nostalgia factor as it's been months since we had Formula 1! It was a particular joy to watch Schumacher's car fall apart though I must say! Still annoys me that the officials bend the rules to keep Schumacher smelling of roses. Still, nice to see McLaren back on top, and hopefuly Williams and maybe a few of the other teams will get a shot at anything more than 3rd place this season!

The only differences with this race from last year IMO was that there was changeable weather and lots of drivers/teams made mistakes.
1) Ferrari were not quick enough to change back to slicks
2) Raikonnen speeding in the pit lane
3) Schumacher and someone else (I've forgotten) having problems with changing tyres.
4) lots of spins/crashes.

You never saw problems like that last year. The ferrari is still the best car, and it has the best driver. Period.
It will all be the same at the end of the season.

Umm what about strategy ? Very different. Brawn screwed up, first time I ever saw that.
Fab drive from Kimi to keep Schu behind him with a heavy car, again strategy almost didn't work ( but miles better than Ferrari ).
Williams were in top flight, but Montoyas spin wrecked that. I get less impressed with Ralf S. every day...

DC back on form after a year or two in the doldrums.

It was the weather that really made the race though.

Superb Race I thought. I am only hoping that the rest of the season is as good. Last year, for the first time ever, I lost total interest in the rest of the F1 season after about the sixth race....
