Fleet Insurance

Post by waitey1 » Sun Jan 08, 2006 1:30 pm

Been putting a lot of commuting miles on the RS4 so a runabout is on the cards. The question is, has anybody heard of an Insurace company that allows you to put more than one car on a policy. You can`t drive more than one at a time which I would have thought was the greatest risk. This would be my fourth policy.

Admiral have started a "multi-car quote". I have just set up my father in law with it for his 3 vehicles - 996T plus 2 Audis. They quote you for one car then as you add more cars you get discounts each time you add an extra one. You have to phone them as it is not up and running on the web yet. Tel: 0800 600800 then option 1.
I also caught an ad on TV for Direct Line (I think) doing a similar thing but they wouldn't insure the 996.

I have an AXA unrestricted fleet policy, which coveres everything upto the value you specify....... must be over 30 and have max no claims.......... only issue arrives when you want to add drivers, they are classed as employees and then you get clobbered for Liability cover too. Not adviseable for classic or collectors vehicles, they pay book price only..
