X-BOX HELP

Post by Tomson » Tue Oct 05, 2004 10:33 am

PLease can someone help me get progressive scan on my UK X-BOX ?

I chopped in my PS2 so I could enjoy on-line Gaming, Dolby Digital and amazing images. I have a SIM2 DLP projector and 6ft screen in the cinema at home.

Got the advanced AV box and set up the component inputs yesterday, only to find that microsoft in their wisdom took off the progressive scan options on the UK X-BOX. The picture was <beep>.

All i need to do is get into the NTSC desktop menu and change the settings.

I can either hack it. There is a very complicated hack available which involves buying a PC connection and a certain verison of a game - not easy to find. Or get it chipped.

Not as easy as it may seem, no-one will discuss chipping the box in the shops in town. The forums are full of information, but you need to understand it a bit in the 1st place (one thread spoke about flashing your box !, got the wife to flash her minge at it many times, was could to watch - but did <beep> all).

So to cut a long story short I need help and advice please (the x-box forum is not the most user friendly forum I have ever been on)

I need to know

What chip I need
who can fit it
or
help hacking the box (and not my wifes minge)

i do not want to use pirated games etc, i just want to utlise the features of the xbos that M$ in their wisdom decided we would noy use in the Uk.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks,

Tom

My mate can do them...and fit a decent size hard disk so you can put movies on it to watch too....the Xbox media player is really good.

Where you based Tom ? - He's manchester based but works in London, and I think he goes to the Milton Keynes meet (or intends to - he's just bought an S8 )
