Just let her loose in Toys R Us in the Burago section - probably the safest option and under 20 quid :jump:

ten alfa 155's ? :) seriously, 155's are great cars & not that bad to run & insure. Get an 8v & they go on for ever! - gotta be a better first car than the usual mini's etc!

Either a saxo, a 106, a clio, or a polo.

They are cheap to run, insure, and more importantly cheap to repair ;)

If she wants a slightly bigger car then I'd go for the 306.
Just brought the wife her second one of these.
The 1.8 goes really well. 1.4 is a bit gutless, but fine for a first car.

We have a 1989 mini mayfair for sale if your interested

John, don't be such a meanie, insure her on the GT3!
Seriosuly though, I reckon a 306 or 206 would be a good buy, or a mini

I reckon you need 3k for insurance and better buy a £500 car as the first one, until they prank it!

Is this speed thing something we want to encourage our kids to participate in, nope. First they need to drive!

I reckon send her out with Big Jon when she has passed her test, what do you think Charlie?

What about an Astra or a Golf?

Couple of my acquaintances from the motor trade (one a mechanic and one a bodyshop bod) hate working on Renaults and Minis. So despite running around quite happily in a couple of Renault 11s and my sister's Mini in the Dark Ages, they'd not be top of my list now.

So does Dad get to pick up the running costs too?

Send her out with you Bushy, that'll put her off driving for life :biggrin3:
