Just let her loose in Toys R Us in the Burago section - probably the safest option and under 20 quid

CBP, if you give me a bell I have a car for sale that is perfect for you. I bought the missus a clio with the following spec:
6/2001 Renault Clio 1.2 Sport (group3 insurance)
12000 miles
FSH
Sport seats
s/roof
alpine in dash CD with inegration with the renault steering wheel
15" OZ super t's
H&R suspension
Electric windows
Handles beautifully, just a bit under powered for me
£4200 ono
As you can see from the milage it's never used and just gets cleaned. It is in show room condition.
Also available is the plate R3NOW (phonetic of renault)

seriously, 155's are great cars & not that bad to run & insure. Get an 8v & they go on for ever! - gotta be a better first car than the usual mini's etc!

Either a saxo, a 106, a clio, or a polo.
They are cheap to run, insure, and more importantly cheap to repair
If she wants a slightly bigger car then I'd go for the 306.
Just brought the wife her second one of these.
The 1.8 goes really well. 1.4 is a bit gutless, but fine for a first car.

I reckon you need 3k for insurance and better buy a £500 car as the first one, until they prank it!

go for a brand new clio cos it has a years free insurance for anyone above 18.i got one and my insurance is £1600 for a 1.5 turbo diesel that can smoke saxo vtr's anyday

What about an Astra or a Golf?
Couple of my acquaintances from the motor trade (one a mechanic and one a bodyshop bod) hate working on Renaults and Minis. So despite running around quite happily in a couple of Renault 11s and my sister's Mini in the Dark Ages, they'd not be top of my list now.
So does Dad get to pick up the running costs too?

I'd defo say have something small.. less likely to hit yours when she comes home late at night after crusing the streets
