Soul searching is over. Ink on paper is dry. The king is dead - long live the king (of bling

)

If this little biatch gives me half as much pleasure as my perfect RS ever did, then it will have been cheap at twice the moolah.
Low res pictures from my Nokia in dealership today :

Tim,
are you saying you've chopped the RS4 in against this, or brought the CSL as well ?
Either way mate fair play to you. Hope you enjoy it

Nice choice Tim, so glad you didn't decide to go for the bath tub with a ford engine in it

RS4 going
CSL fits my requirements perfectly for now.
Joshie it may seem surprising, but as I am sure you said recently "what else is there?"
Much running in to do soon. Thanks for the positive comments guys

Looks like we going to need a small M3 forum in the new version of RS246 (secret section perhaps?).

I have so many questions to ask you Tim....
Why the change? I must admit I'm a little surprised, I didn't realise the RS was so close to the door.
I'm sure the CSL will be pretty amasing, I even thought of an M3 myself the other day.
Which car will be going to Le Mans?

But if I'm the "Bling Meister" what are we going to call you?
Mind you, I must admit to feeling a little "out blinged" Think I'll have to hand the crown over to you now!
Think there's no doubt that you'll have loads of fun in it - especially in the wet
So lets have a little more on the spec (extras?-tyres?)- did you trade the '4 in or is it up for sale?
Oh and John T - have you spilled the beans on your M3 yet? Haven't had a chance to read all the forums as I'm away at the moment:o

Nice car mate lets hope you can keep up at early morning hi-speed runs to the Nordschilfe
Still cant find anything that comes close to my requirements, except stuff out of my price range.
Cheers

Guys dont be surprised. How many times have I said over the last few months that I have never owned a car for longer? Been banging on about Nobles and CSL's for a bit. It was time to move on.I had'nt been using the RS regularly for a while and due to other vehicles no longer needed the load carrying capacity either.
Actually if Audi werent so busy popularising Lamborghini, and had'nt taken their eyes off the Quattro GmbH being primarily for the production of RS vehicles, then an RS3 is probably where I would have gone next. But there is a DEARTH of information and those of us who have been in our vehicles for a while are sick of waiting waiting waiting. Better stop now, this could become rantified against Audi. Truth is they have given me with the RS4 the best 3 years' motoring I have ever had
JR - I said to them in the dealership that I would like it derestricting, firstly they laughed and said they didnt think I would ever need to go faster? HA! Fat lot they realise, and when they saw I wasnt laughing trotted out the BMW line about needing to see a racing license before they were allowed to do it So yes, for the time being I will be eating your dust on zee German autobahn And exploring the racing license avenue.
Phil - hope I have answered you adequately via PM.
Cheers Thorney. Do you refer to the Rockingham event? I will further my enquiries. You are right though, it needs completely de - catting, Movits and a titanium exhaust
Joshie - you will have to turn homo, then you can become the Queen of Bling, which leaves a fitting vacancy for me as King Yes the RS was traded, and will probably be appearing in the Audi dealer network soon. Honestly guys, she is in great condition. Sills and bumpers off, back to plastic and resprayed to high standard. Lots of tread left on the Yokos, very recent full 40,000 mile service.
Gavin - guess you will see me more in General Car Chat, Track Days and Meets and Off Topic Chat. I aint going anywhere. This is home
John H thankyou for your very welcoming comments.
Riz - we now have something in common. Neither of us drives an Audi! But thats Audis fault
Options on the CSL? Very few to choose from really, and I am slightly miffed that mine has PDC (Park Distance Control)on it... presumably to tell you when the rear is getting too close to the Armco? Single CD YES. Rain sensor NO. Xenons NO. Floor mats YES. Climate comfort front windscreen NO.
Will be ordering a second set of CSL 19 rims, so that I can have both sane, and insane tyres. Coming with the (standard) Michelin Pilot Sport Cups.

Joshie, Milltek full system has been tested over last 7 months and I get mine the week after next (with race cats and black exhaust tips). The car is being featured in Total BMW mag over the next three issues as a project car. After zorst (which fits CSL) comes custom black CSL wheels, Brembos front and rear, adustable suspension, induction kit and remap all by AmD.
Tim... March 14th is a big BM3W meet at South Mimms services on the M25. Last year had over 200 people so should be entertaining.
