Today i had a consignment deilvered on a pallet, all wrapped in shrink, it was on the back of a 16 ton lorry, drivers says "you got a fork lift mate"?
Err no im a hi fi retailer, not a outpost of Chistian Salvensen
Oh we suppose we better split it then, so we did, and stacked it up out side the front of the building, i signed for the goods and the lorry departed, we started getting the stock inside, and the phone rang i answered it, and started a conversation. Meanwhile out side a Red Citroen Vx pulls up, starts to turn around, i was watching this on our survaillence cameras, quick as a flash a guy runs out of the grabs a box, containing bits of metal, worth about £800, no use to anyone except the customer who now has no decouplers for his hi-fi stand.Zooms off and never seen again.
My fault for leaving it unattended but im in a remote part of rural Worcestershire off the beaten track, what is this bloody world coming too, it really makes my blood boil.
Police havent as yet managed to come out or be bothered, too busy catching honest people doin 60mph in a 50 zone.
Im sick of this country

I'm with Ken I think! What nobheads though. At least they didn't get something really worth something though.

I can see why people commit crimes, with the obvious quick and easy financial benefits etc., but there are a lot of really stupid thieves out there. Vandals are the worst if you ask me. If you're gonna nick it, fine, but don't just bugger it up - what's the point?!

There's only one way to sort out some people

Rock on

I've been to John's work place and it really is in the middle of nowhere - which means that these thieves are likely to be local lads (bet it takes the local bobbies weeks to figure that out for themselves).

When I used to work for a car audio retailer in Leeds, the Pioneer delivery wagon arrived with a large consignment of equipment.
As he came inside with his hands full, one of the fitters saw a Ford Sierra make a quick u-turn pull up at the side of the lorry, his passenger jumped out grabbed a box from the back and jumped back into the car which then sped off. They'd bagged a box of 6 disc autochangers.
Unfortunately it's commonplace nowadays but if you try to stop 'em you just end up getting prosecuted for assault or the like.
British "Justice" for you!!!

Barstewards like you say.

How much crime is linked to drug habits these days ?

Sorry to hear that mate
Could have been worse I guess.

If you are looking to get a dog, I suggest a Rhodesian Ridgeback, one of the best dogs going I reckon.

1, Bustards!
2, if drugs were legal than no one would have to steal to feed the habbit!
3, I offer my dog to eliminate the guilty (if caught)

John,
really sorry to hear of this.
Total to$$ers.

Trouble is if any of us were offered some nice gear
'on the cheap', how many would have brought it if
there was little risk of any comeback ??
I'm not saying who would nick it, but who would
subsequently buy it...

John's experience shows that someone does get
financially hurt as a result of the so-called
faceless crimes.
I guess your insurance won't pay out either John
as it was left unattended outside the premises.

A little story from many years ago (early 80s).
A mate I went to college with had a good mate
'Ian' who was into anything to make a few quid,
and knew some very dodgy gezzers.
One day Ian got a sniff of a whole load of B&O
stuff going cheap. He hung out and hung out, and
eventually got a big TV and HiFi for a couple of
hundred quid as the bloke was getting desperate
to shift it.
Nice one, or so he thought...

Trouble was the guy selling it had been a bit too
open about what gear he had, word got out and the
coppers paid him a visit.
In order to get a lesser sentence he shopped all
the people he had sold the gear to, so Ian was
also paid a visit.
Ian ended up doing 2 years for receiving stolen goods.

Lets hope this guy who paid john a visit also
gets a bit too brash and gets nicked too, eh

Cheers,
John.
