Thinking of upgrading MrsT's and my phones.. Anyone have any experience of the following? Any pics taken with the cameras?
Orange SPV E200 - Pro: Everything - Con: Battery life.
Nokia 7250i - Pro: It's a Nokia - Con: No bluetooth and just doesn't seem to have the build quality a Nokia should have.
Panasonic X70 - Pro: Dunno, 'bling' probably!! - Con: Flip phone.
Sagem myX-6 - Pro: Mrs T Likes it - Con: Not sure if it was because it was a dsiplay phone, but the one I saw felt cheap....
Looking for something hich comes with a fully fitted car kit. 7250i with Nokia Bluetooth kit would be nice, but 7250i doesn't have Bluetooth . We both currently have Nokia phones.

6600 is too big, and I think it looks clumsy .

not impressed with the screen on my 7210
somone sent me a pic from a samsung , which i viewed and it was very good, same pic on the Nokia was very poor, and grainy.
id like to upgrade mine. Just seen a mates Sony Ericsson Z600 flip phone, and id get that if it was available on Orange (has bluetooth too)

i have a 7250i and think it is a very good phone. Reception is good, as is battery life. I agree it looks a bit plasticy but is actually pretty robust.
Only other phone I'd consider is the SonyEriccson T600. It doesn't have the inbuilt radio (big deal) and suffers from a poor display in bright light, but it does have bluetooth.
Cheers,
John.
P.S. Merry Christmas

The SonyEriccson T610 was on the list, but Orange no longer has them on their site... Have they stopped production?

One of the nice details about the 7250i is that metal covers are available from Nokia themselves. I've seen one in brushed aluminium and it looked and felt fantastic. Bit chilly, but oooh the bling factor!
Rock on

PS - Personally opting for a Siemens at the moment, old S55 purely because it's built like a tank and fairly suave

Phil,
I got my 7250i from Carphonewarehouse (after doing a pretty major web search for the best deal).
They were also doing the T610 on Orange. This was a month or so back though. Still, has to be worth a call to see.
Or are you looking to do a straight phone upgrade through Orange ?
If so Carphonewarehouse won't be able to help as they have thier own service provider agreements.
Interesting about the metal covers for the 7250i. I have a mate who works for Nokia so might have to look into that one

Quite like the look of this myself. Currently have the 6100, which is a good phone, just no blue tooth. I may well upgrade to this when its released.

Thanks for the info. I gotta admit, the 7250i would be my first choice, apart from no Bluetooth. I think the Mrs will probably have one.
Has anybody tried the SPV? I'm really tempted....

Phil, I've got an E200, love the OTA sync features with Outlook, VGA camera isn't up to much unless you're taking shots of non-moving stuff (no worse than others). Good avi movie function with sound. Battery only lasts 2 days max .
Overall, I would recommend it as a business tool, as you have the ability to sync your outlook contacts list, including e-mail addresses and IM addresses, which means you can send emails much easier (ever tried typing in the '@' sign on a mobile?)
p.s. an active e200 car kit will be available very soon.
p.p.s. a replacement SPV is out in June 04 - half the thickness of the e200 - hoping they'll sort the battery life out by then too

Thanks Nige. Could you send through video and pic samples.
Sounds like it might be worth waiting for the new one though.
