Same applies to all McLarens. When you look into aftermarket service options and price of parts/labour/warranty resisting will become easier.

I have been doing a bit of research. WOW crazy prices for even an oil change. Would be cool car to have on the drive though. Parts seem to be the issue, nothing aftermarket which forces you to buy OEM gear at overinflated prices.
Wonder how the prices stabilise after losing £100k? Is the worst over?

12c stable.....but you have the 650, 540, 570 and 720 all heading south rapidly. 720 for 150k is outrageous really.
It’s a brand I’d love to love. But for me there’s always a whiff of Ron Dennis’ office. And I’d prefer to go Italian. F12 is a big draw....

F12 is hugely expensive though. lovely looking car!!
I was looking at F430 (i do like the look of the F430) or Gallardo then stumbled across the 12c. They all around the same price but the 12c is just a bit more modern. On saying that 12c reliability seems to be suspect. Infotainment and gearbox issue keep popping up, neither cheap to fix.
Wont be this year I have only just got my RS3 and promised to keep it a while lol

I never rated the MP4-12C until my friend took me out in one. The thing is a step change above equivalent, Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini's. There's also a front bumper conversion which makes it look a lot better.

If you can't afford to run it new, you can't afford to run it used... servicing and parts never get cheaper.
That's a hell of a lot of car for sub £80k though!

Affording to buy or run it is not an issue, it’s all about what I am happy to spend on a car for me. I have never been into flash cars, just big fast ones. Hmmm.

Ok done loads of research. Deffo not the car for me. Only due to crazy service parts. Don’t mind buying and fixing cars but I won’t be held to ransom over parts, never mind failures. £4k for a heater control

I was lucky to own one for 4 months and do 4K miles, including a full Circuit Days Track day at the Nurburgring
Got out of it just before the £4K warranty renewal and got what I paid for it back.
It’s since lost another £15k depreciation ...
I sometimes wish I’d kept it as it’s a full blown Supercar, but it was a bit soulless

Sounds like you dipped your toe in just long enough to have some fun and hand it back.
Plan is to have a supercar but it wont be the 12c
