I think it can be a wise investment. The problem is that i think you have to decide... Is the plate for me, or is it for the car? So getting R54 PDT for me was a no-no.

I got my plate at a very reasonable £360 for R50 FOR. R5 FOR was for sale at £3500. The guy selling it worked for Audi [img]images/graemlins/033102bad_1_prv.gif[/img] .

I think personalised plates are a waste of money.

That's why I wasn't going to pay more than £250 for mine.

All down to personal choice if you buy them when they are released from DVLA, then you stand a fairly good chance of making a profit if you ever wanted to sell, compare DVLA with a site like newreg and you can see the difference in cost and rem that the DVLA includes VAT and the transfer fee

DVLA Plates
