Anyone affected by this draconian law?
As a contractor for the last 27 years, this really pisses me off. Who else has a 90 day from month end statement payment terms? Certainly no permanent person.
I'm considering some extreme measures to counter this in 2020.

Yep. I was in the public sector when the change happened last year and it had a massive impact on the market. I am now in the private sector and will no doubt have to go through the same pain again in 2020.

Yeah, it's complete bull. My wife stopped her activity altogether when her customers started worrying about whether they should be paying NI etc.

Have you written to your MP(s) - esp if Tory? They seem to wake up when told this is Guardian chasing socialist nonsense started by Gordon Brown.
