Track day FAQ

Post by DuncS3 » Sun Jan 19, 2003 10:00 pm

How about posting up a Track Day FAQ for all us novices?

I know a few things, like dont park up with your handbrake on if you can help it, but a FAQ would be useful perhaps?

I always find the warm up laps and cool down laps the most important.. just help you get your thought together.. and get the car safely up to speed.

i would say cool down laps on the brakes is good but depends

At an open pit lane day that is fine

however at castle coombe we did not get that long out there so it was hell for leather and slower for about half a lap, needed a bit more of a rest really

as you say just leave it in neutral when you get back to the pits and dont put the brakes on

and whatever anyone else is doing just be happy with how hard you are pushing yourself
No point trying to win any awards proving you cant do something

I have always been happy for better drivers or lunatics to over take

I am only there for MY enjoyment

Don't forget to take your driving licence, don't lock your keys in the car and don't get black flagged.
