India from above - Old and New

Post by adut015 » Wed Nov 08, 2017 5:59 am

Here's a video I made around New Delhi, India flying around with my drone. I think it shows off the contrast between modern and old infrastructure coexisting. Which is basically what India is like in 2017, a mix of the very new and very outdated infrastructure and technology. Hope you enjoy it.

How are you finding flying a drone in India? I understand that they are not officially allowed atm, but I know that is due to change (I work for a drone manufacturer)

Hey, thanks for watching the video'!

Current situation is drones have been deemed illegal for the time being. It's the bureaucratic nature of the country's government. They saw drones coming to consumers faster than they could sit together and make sensible laws. So to buy time, they just decided, illegal until we come up with some laws to regulate drone flights.

In general it's quite easy to fly anywhere in India just so long as you stay away from airports and sensitive areas.

What drone manufacturer are you working for if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks a lot for watching the video! I appreciate it.

This video was entirely filmed with the DJI Mavic Pro.
