If I undertand the drawings correctly you're keeping the left existing garage wall in place and some sort of back wall. Surley it would better to have the left and back walls knocked down to create a large open garage?
If I keep the current wall I can keep all the tools etc out of sight and just have cars in the current garage and it would look more minimalistic.

Or I could open it up but as there is currently a lot of space for even the Range Rover then the additional space could be pointless. Also the kids toys could go in the back bit and I don't have to worry about them dragging their bikes down bedsides the car.

I nearly bought one but had nowhere to put it or a tow car.

Now I can use the wife RRS to tow it 😇

On a similar note I built my own log cabin garage two years ago after I was burgled.
Moving onto present day I wanted to keep my car garaged but was also looking to buy a LWB VW T6 Campervan as well.
Having had the burglary experience I was keen to garage the camper as well but it was 5cm too long and 2cm too high to get through the garage door.
I managed to increase the height of the front roller shutter and then built a 1m lean to extension on the back so the camper can fit in.
Extra bonus once completed it turns out that the pop top roof can open inside the garage without hitting the roof which is handy for working on it.

Built a new garage last year, would definitely recommend a 2 post lift over a pit, makes things so much easier and they're great value for money :D
