Crash helmets

Post by DuncS3 » Sun Jan 19, 2003 2:26 pm

I need to buy a lid for the upcoming track days that are approaching. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations or what did you guys go for?

(really dont want to spend more than £200)

I prefer open face. You don't need to be protected from the elements, but on the other hand it offers no protection to debris.

I do fancy an open face, but I do karting and ATV's so I might go for full face.. could do both I suppose

look lads - lets get the terminology right here - its full face or piss pot...

I have the same question as Dave really, piss pot or full face. I think piss pot will be better in the car (more freedom etc)

might go piss pot

Guys

If you where to crash big time at a track day in your 40K car would you rather be wearing

A...£50 Open Face helmet from the local market or
B...£400+ Kevlar & Carbon Fibre Racing Full Face helmet as used by Schumacher/Montoya etc etc

If you've got a £50 head buy a £50 helmet !

Jeff
