The RS246 Rules of Modern Life

ITT we are dumping idioms and rules of modern life that we live by or 'just make sense' here on RS246. For example, "the OP is a <beep>" is one of the rules I live by. Jaaaags are little bit "piss and slippers" is another 'unwritten' rule of RS246.
So, with this in mind please feel free to post your own rules of modern life, I'll start with these little gems:
- "A little piece of Chunky's wife dies inside every time she has to admit "Yes, he is my husband".
- "It is impossible to know how many cars DK has owned".
- "Under no circumstances should two men ever sit in a convertible with anything less than 8 cylinders".
- "Kanye West is not a service station on the M4".
- "Beauty is in the wallet of the owner."
- "Let sleeping dogs lie. Just get dressed quickly and close the front door quietly".
