Got my new 2 post ramp to wire up but have no diagram and cant fine one on line.

You'll probably need to get a Part P registered electrician to do the install; that way you'll comply with Part P of building regs and get certification for that. Actually...in Scotland it may be different - think its Building Standards or something to that affect?

Shouldn't cost too much. I had a generator wired up to the main house board with a switch over in case of a power cut and the job was done in less than an hour.

So turns out I was stitched up. guy said it was single phase ramp (only reason I bought it), but on investigation its 3 phase

Anyone use or know of a good VFD or single phase to 3 phase convertor?

its a dual power motor so I can wire it up DELTA configuration and still use 240volts no need to move to 380volts.

Paul, I might be able to help, how many kW is the motor.

We sell variable speed drives that can work off a single phase input.

3kw motor 230 /400v 16.5 / 9.5 amps

I see I can get them off ebay for around £120 - £170 (34amps 7kw) but reading other sites it seems to say you need huge power to start the motor e.g the ramp is 1/2 up and stopped I then want to raise it all the way.

think I might flog it and buy a new one. never thought I would miss my old 4 poster. must be over 25 years old and still going strong.
