Dominos pizza franchise

Bit of a strange question here guys maybe someone on here has some knowledge they can share.

Good friend of mine reckons he had identified a good spot for a dominos pizza franchise in a town of about 10k. He's looking for investors and frankly I know very little about fast food as does he.

Has anyone here any experience with running a fast food franchise? As I am extremely extremely sceptical if it can work in a town of 10k and with him not having any experience in catering.

Cheers!

Does your friend already own a Dominoes franchise? If not then the first thing to do would be go through that process. Dominoes have a very good and active Procurment team who are constantly looking out for sites as well as actively encouraging current franchise holders to find new sites.
However, there are some 'priority' franchisees who own groups of stores that tend to pick up the better sites.
10k people could be a good base for a store but a lot depends on competition, distance to next Dominoes etc etc.

No personal experience myself, but the guy that runs all the Dominos franchises in Swindon had to hire a warehouse to hold all his Lamborghini's and Ferrari's as his driveway wasn't big enough, so there must be some money in it.
However, like all modern franchise business opportunities in big brands, you'd expect, if it was a good spot with a decent sized market, they'd have snapped it up themselves
The trick to making money in franchising, is getting in early whilst the market's still developing, rather than joining into an already busy marketplace with a company the size of dominos that, Im sure, will fleece every penny out their franchisee's to make a few quid themselves.

You can expect to put about 100k a year into your pocket with dominos. Nothing to be sniffed at but it isn't exactly glamorous or easy living.

The guy with the lambos will either have a lot of franchises or has made his money else where.

You also need to put in about 250k up front iirc

I believe he has about 6 or 7 franchises, but his main source of income, apparently, is he owns the systems that all dominos nationwide use to send text messages, which makes a supposed fortune
