Not serviced yet. Guidance is that you wait 10 years or if it is losing time. 9/10 condition; it has been worn and bottom of strap under wrist has usual marks (Rolex make it like new at service). No scratches on face or dial. Can't remember if it is 2009 or 2011 will get box out tomorrow. Will also post some photos of actual watch.

I have 5 Rolexes and want to get an IWC this is the reason for selling. Long term this watch will only appreciate especially given strength of CHF.

The watches live on a winder and I wear them on rotation (I have 8 in total) so they are well cared for and little worn.

Views?
Lovely but I prefer their Big Pilot PVD (Top Gun?) on a green nato/nylo strap. Can't really go wrong with an IWC though, congrats, not well jel at all.

Im thinking of selling my moonwatch and ceramic sub to fund a GMT batman purchase, would anyone be in the market for such items? Where is the best place to sell watches exactly?

You're going to have a hard job finding a batman. There's a big waiting list for new, and all grey/used examples are inflated over RRP by at least £1k.

I likes it.

I met a VC in NYC recently, he heads a 5b USD fund, amoung other things. We were all at dinner later, what did he have on his wrist? A 15yr old Casio dive watch. My business partner was wearing a Daytona mother of pearl and invariably watches came up. The VC said he'd had a bunch of watches over the years but this is the one he kept coming back to. He said he'd spent tens of thousands on servicing, insurance, winders and safes. He'd had the Casio serviced once for peanuts and he paid $400 new, said he'd never go back. Kinda put us all in our place and highlighted the absurdity of the human condition.
No matter where you go, there you are.

It's a lot like owning an RS Audi - there's no logical reason! Like watches, to most people, something basic does the job.

The portfolio manager that currently sits behind me at work, a multi millionaire, drives a mk5 golf GT TDi. My manager at my last place, an MD at Goldman, also drove a mk5 golf! My direct manager when I joined that team drove a VW bora, and there I was, still a junior analyst, in my 4.2 Audi S4...I tried not to ever mention it as it made me look like a right tit!

By the way, the 2 guys mentioned at the end of the article for wearing cheap watches, Lloyd Blankfein (current GS CEO) and Hank Paulson (previous GS CEO, then US Treasury Secretary), are worth $1.1bn and $700M respectively.

So, my sea dweller model 116660 - sorry for taking so long to respond to the questions earlier!

Not serviced yet. Purchased in the UK on 31-01-2009

Same as currently sold model.

It is in VGC as you see from the photos.

Looking for £6,000. Only selling as I have a few Rolexes and want to diversify.

I have box, original receipt, Rolex registration card etc etc.

PM me if interested.
