For those of us of a certain age:
The Comic Strip Presents
Kevin Turvey
The Dangerous Brothers
The Young Ones
Blackadder
The New Statesman
Bottom
Four pages of tributes in todays paper, says it all really.

Up there in the child hood hero top 10, and not forgetting his Colin Grigson from Bad News.

The thing with lord flashheart is that all the dress rehearsals were terrible and there was a general feeling on set that it wasn't going to work.
Then Rik just slipped into character and ad-lib'd a lot. You can see it on the other cast's faces they are going "errr.".
Top stuff

Was gutted yesterday when I saw this on the news.
God know how many hours I spend growing up watching Young Ones and Bottom.
True comedy legend

I love the episode of Bottom where Richie (Rik) is trying to romance Helen Lederer and gets Eddie (Ade Edmundson) to pretend to be his butler. Genius.

Pretty much EVERY episode of Bottom was top drawer. I loved the episode when they were in the park pitching a tent! Got to thank my big brother for getting me into Slack Bladder and Bottom.
Fantastic comedian, will be missed.

Bottom, the New Statesman and Young Ones were great but let's not forget the excellent Guest House Paradiso.
