Went better than expected

I treated myself to a new home cinema set up yesterday. Unveiled it to SWMBO today. Started with the new speakers which seemed to be taken well. Then unboxed the amp. She seemed surprised at this. Luckily she just sighed and mentioned me and my gadgets. Just glad she didn't ask how much it all cost. Phew! Got away with that one

Nothing too flash. Went for a Onkyo receiver and Boston Acoustics XS SE 5.1 speakers. Just got to sort some speaker cable and some decent hdmi leads to connect everything as swapping leads to use the different bits at the moment.

Actually giving myself a headache trying to decide what speaker cable to get!

Get any old toot, if you can hear a difference you are a batter man than me.
Braided cat5 cable is a good cheap option apparently. I've spent loads on cables over the years and I still continue to even though I can barely tell any difference between them. #sucker

How much cable do you need? I've got some spare Cambridge audio cable left over from the 300m i bought when we wired the house.

At a guess about 40m maximum. What guage is it and how much were you looking for if you have that much left?

I have the Onkyo 507 matched with some Bose, it's a warm sound - great amp.
