I got a buddy flying them, ex-RN. Never trusted helicopters, damn.

Very sad news indeed! Thoughts go out to the families! Was supposed to be going to work today to fly the L2 puma! All grounded.

Damm hope none of our members are on there, few of them are off shore workers.
.."swinging the lantern time"...I was nearly in a Helicopter crash once, In a old 50s Wessex flying from Scotland to NI at night, the rear hydrolic failed and the thing was fish tailing...luckily we was near our destination and had to make a crash landing in a foot ball field of all places.

Extremely sad times. Coming back from one of our rigs. If it had crashed on land there may have been even more fatalities.
