Ebay buyer beware!

Post by Batfinnk » Sat Dec 01, 2012 8:20 pm

Recently bought a Transcend 32gb sd memory card on ebay. Have since discovered it is a 4gb card flashed to make it look like a 32gb card. I was contatced by another member who has also had the same thing! Looks like you can get stitched up with all kinds these days. Not a happy bunny!

I used a program called H2testW to check the card. It takes a long time if it's a big card but has opened my eyes!

Yes have reported them and also all their items have been withdrawen from sale. I was gutted too. Just uprated from a bridge Lumix to a Canon Eos 650d. It's a whole new level and am learning thick and fast. Quite sad but also in the back of my head from time to time I keep thinking what I paid for the camera could have been half of a stainless exhaust!

Ha! Wait 'till you realise you've started building a lens collection.

Half an exhaust......Nuts! :drink:
:biggrin3:

Still, sorry to hear you got yer leg lifted on the sd cards. Never a good feeling.

Cheers, :beerchug:

I know what you mean about the lenses! Got one with, the missus has got me one for chrimbo, am watching loads on ebay too!

Yes am gutted but it was only £12.87 so fortunately not a kings ransom but not the point.

Just can't wait to get out and about and get snapping with it. :biggrin3:
