I'm sure I've seen something like the original post/letter years ago when the fuel started it's climb to these mad prices.

I guess I find it funny in that stopping cars producing CO2 is like sticking your finger in the proverbial crack in the dam. As said above, CO2 is increasing and not just because of what humans are doing. Evolution is change and we need to deal with that change, not plug the dam. I'm sure we are accellerating that change but let's not kid ourselves into thinking that everyone driving an efficient car is going to solve the worlds problems. Even if we stopped *everything* today it still wouldn't be enough. Maybe it's because we are destroying too much plant life, maybe it's because there are too many people, maybe it's because we are more like a virus.

I can't see the cows caring about how much CO2 they produce; perhaps we should all be eating more fresh meat not plants. Hmmm now there's a thought.
