Hey Julian,

Sorry that you have had enough, though I can see why after reading that thread wow. You will be missed.

P.s. what about the free advertising we do while driving around with RS246.com on our back windows?

I always thought that a recommendation was different to advertising yourself (or your company's products), but hey.

Cheers

Personally I think it is very hard to get emotion and feeling across when typing...

The two people involved do this very well, just at the opposite ends of the spectrum

Yeah not chatted directly but have always found the information you bring to be useful!

I have posted links on places to get stuff cheap in the past, if a company is doing a good offer.... its what we do.... as a long term member of the S2000 and Civic Type R forums and also a moderator on the Tigra (the shame) forums, people dont get shot down for this stuff.... its encoraged!

I was going to post a great place to get good priced Goodridge Brake hoses from, I will not bother now! PM me if you want the details....

Cheers Gav

It'll be a shame to lose your humour and knowledge here mate...see you at MRC soon though! Totally understand your point of view though, there certainly seem to be standards that are applied to certain posts and not others. Pretty certain we've all posted a link to either a mod we've just done or a new bit of kit we've just bought...my Zender roof spoiler and the Ultraled sidelights spring to mind...both of those contained links but there was no mention of site sponsorship or censorship. We'll certainly miss you on here...
Adam.

Dear me, I thought I was the only one falling out with Mods. Not been active here for several weeks as a result. A shame - we had a good thing going for a while.

Like many people I've not met Julian, (not many of the forum members in fact). Julian's input - like so many on this forum - has been a great source of knowledge and mirth for me. Julian, you are fobidden from going...simple as that.

The thread on the B7 forum hasn't been locked and makes interesting reading. I can see the mods point of view (in that the site needs to pay it's way) but equally I can see the views made by other forum members. That thread has had nearly 1100 views so far!

Leon - we've still got a good thing going here - it is a great forum, but sadly, sometimes, somebody gets upset and throws a teddy out of the pram. The teddy is given back and all will be fine again. It's like life in general, except that we can only read the words and not see and understand the body language and other emotions going on. If we were all as eloquent as Shakespeare perhaps we could convey those emotions, but thwen each posting would be like, well, a Shakespeare play (yawn). If the exchange on the B7 forum had occurred face to face, I am sure everyone would have bought a round by now and then tried to put the world to rights and ask if Jose should really be the England coach.

My 2p, now I'm back off to where I belong..back in my box.

Moving post as it is not about the B5 S4.

I'm not going to get involved in this argument, but would ask members to think about two things:

1) This site is a FREE service to members and is provided through the hard work of mods who are unpaid (or less!).
2) Those traders who pay to advertise on this site might not be happy to see other traders get advertising for free (even if it is indirect). The mods have a responsibility to the paying customers and take that responsibility very seriously.
