I was using BT until Tuesday when they cut me off due to some BT internal admin co*k up. Now I've got to wait until sometime next week when they can reactivate me.

I'm with Plusnet mainly because they do monthly contracts and not the norm 12. Spent alot of time flittnig about on ADSLguide.org as someones mentioned and it came in the top 3 (at the time). Only had a couple of outages in months, but put down to BT balls ups (fecking cowboys).

Ps. if you go with plusnet.. give me a shout and i'll get a referal discount

By and large, they are all the same service. All ISPs buy the ADSL connectivity wholesale from BT, unless it's cable or wireless or satellite. One worth checking out if you can get it is FirstNet's Wireless DSL service. It's only available in limited areas but the service is excellent and highly configurable. One thing they provide which none of the ADSL providers do is symmetric data speeds i.e. same speed on both directions, right up to 2Mb. They also have a selection of contention ratios from 15:1 right down to 1:1, effectively a Leased Line for a fraction of the cost.
We sell a lot of this at work and it works brilliantly...provided you can get it in the first place.
