Great thread this - I downloaded one or two MP3's just to find out what these bands (and no Jeff I hadn't heard of them either) were like - and it does say one or two things about the members here - and explains why Andy(headbanger)roo has long hair

I've just been listening to the Darkness recently.

A truly awesome album..... treat yourself, go out and buy it.

If you like GnR, Led Zep, Joe Sach, Iron Maiden etc... then you'll love this.

Tracks 4&6 are my faves.

Thoroughly enjoying reading this thread too. My good lady wife gets to enjoy the S3 during the summer months much more than I so it's a surprise what I find on the multichanger when I get the opportunity.

So, veryspecialK's current selection:

Thomas Crown Affair - Soundtrack
Magnolia - Soundtrack
Coldplay - Rush of Blood to the Head

Fortunately I have an Ipod for commuting - 1400 songs and only half full, 10 hour battery life and fits in shirt pocket. Superb.
There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Just done my bi-weekly rotation, so here goes the current six.

1. Queensryche - Tribe.
2. Iron Maiden - X factor.
3. John Wetton - (title forgotten).
4. Threshhold - Clone
5. Sister Hazel - Mercy (I think)
6. Enchant - Latest (forgot title again)

Have just bought The Darkness from amazon so looking forward to getting that in the player.

Not sure what this says about me, but...

1. Pulp - This is hardcore
2. Pop Will Eat Itself - Discography
3. Manic Street Preachers - Everything Must Go
4. The Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables
5. Garbage - Version 2
6. Duran Duran - Greatest Hits

Umm, that's some mixture. Other stuff that sometimes goes in includes The Damned, Paul Weller (Stanley Road era), Annie Lennox/Eurythmics, Madonna (Music and later stuff), Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Meatloaf (Bat out of hell ), Eminem (believe it or not) and a whole host of other strange stuff.

I'll listen to almost anything from the last 25 years apart from acid house...

lol

sounds like my tastes !
to be honest I've not heard half of the groups being mentioned on here.
My daily driver only has a single slot player, and it currently has Bryan Adams in it. Last week it had Rock the World, Simply Red, Meat Loaf, Bryan Ferry, and Alanis Morisett (sp?).
Glovebox also has Deepest Purple, Purple Rainbows, more Bryan Adams, Fleetwood Mac, and some stuff the missus slid in there when I wasn't looking

The RS4 is currently loaded up with Duran Duran, Meat Loaf, Madonna, Culture Club, and a couple of disks I can't recall

Driving for a couple of hours a day means I get bored with the contents quickly and they all get swapped around quite often.

Currently got:

Evanescence - Fallen
Thunder - Shooting at the Sun
Matchbox Twenty - More than You Think You Are
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime (classic album)
Foo Fighters - One by One
Thunder - Backstreet Symphony

Been like that for a few weeks now, so I'll have to change them soon!

And I've also got the Darkness album at home, but haven't had it in the car yet. Quite good, but I can't help thinking they're taking the piss sometimes?
cheers,
Andy (silver S4 Avant - completely standard!)
