Hid kits

The headlamps in my van have a little shield piece that sits in front of the bulb and wasn't sure if the cover on the hid bulb would hit it as not sure how the little moving cover works on the hid bulbs.

I see. I thought that when you flashed your lights it just pulled the lamp backwards slightly but the actual cover didnt move. I could be completely wrong though.

I've got no idea how they work tbh just didn't fancy taking the chance and having to buy two sets. Headlights with separate main beam bulbs are so much less of a headache

Right my bulbs arrived friday. Van went into garage friday night for service and rough running. Got it back last night and managed to get home early today. Took me about 20 mins to get both fitted and luckily the headlamp housings are big enough to fit the ballasts and all wiring inside. Haven't driven with them yet but look much brighter already. Just got to get some white side light bulbs as they look VERY yellow now!

I've been driving all day with them and they are brighter. They do look very refracted compared to the halogen bulbs though. There was a little plate on each bulb which I have removed which has improved it somewhat. Have messaged the seller as the colour of them looks more like 8000k rather than the 4300k I asked for plus they don't say anywhere on them or the box what k they are. They look very very blue compared to my factory Audi ones and my missus has 6000k hids in her little pug and they don't look this blue either.

Well have been using the lights for a while now. The light output seems slightly less than the oem bulbs tbh. But have found out the seller sent me 10k bulbs by mistake! Explains why they are so blue and the light pattern is very refracted and am doing a good job at lighting all the road signs! Just got to wait for some 4300k bulbs to arrive now.
