Def Bypass Module - AdBlue Removal

Post by adblueremoval » Wed Oct 18, 2023 11:25 am

Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems on diesel engines are compatible with an aftermarket electronic device called a DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) bypass module. It enables customers to turn off or temporarily disable the DEF system, which lowers emissions by injecting urea-based fluid into the exhaust. In situations where emission rules might not apply, such as off-road or high-performance applications, this could be helpful. The module allows users to control and modify the operation of the DEF system by intercepting signals from the vehicle's engine control unit. Although it provides flexibility, using a DEF bypass module may not be compliant with emissions requirements in many areas, and it's important to be aware of the potential legal ramifications.
