Her Moms father past away from Cancer when her mom was very young and her Dads father (my dad) past away when I was 11 from heart failure. Both her grandads would have been VERY proud of her, as we all are.
When she said she was going to do it (there was no, I might be doing it, it was just I AM DOING IT) we were all a bit worried for her due to her going to secondary school this year and you know how kids can be picked on for being different, but she said she is doing something to help others who are less fortunate than her so she doesn't care!
Now, I'm not going to lie, i'm partly posting this to help with her fund raising. She has a Just giving page here - https://www.justgiving.com/search?q=lucy%20parrett. She's got 2 different pages, one for Cancer research and one for the British Heart foundation. Any donations, no matter how small, will help lots of less fortunate people out there and can only help.
