I have been pounding the streets at all times of the day and night to get the mileage in.

Sounds like a tough challenge
I had a crack at ultra running for a while, but ironman was more my thing
I do know a few guys that have done the back to back races though, so I can appreciate how hard it is getting up day after day to slog it out
If you need a good coach I can recommend a fantastic one for this type of thing if you DM me. The guy's run countless ultras is is very well known in the sport

It is a very tough challenge one which I am training hard for.

The hardest part is the fundraising bit as times are tough and people have little spare cash nowadays. But I just keep telling everyone 'every little helps' they don't have to donate loads.
