It's a very social game and built for co-op play from the ground up, almost hardcoded, to the point where it's crap without net connection. I've been reading the developer diary and there's a lot of good stuff going into it. Certainly this years 'Watch Dogs' for me.

I’ve never had a console (always used PC’s)… but these new models are getting my interest.
Looks like the PS4 is getting the better press at the moment, but what do folks think will be the platform to buy (if either).

Sony have courted the indie developers to perfection.
They actually requested indies, big house developers and publishers help them build the PS4 platform. It's designed for games, everything else is ancillary. Sony also bought some of the best game streaming tech available. It's second screen tech isn't as polished as Microsoft.

Xbox One is trying to replace your Sky box. Microsoft charge for indies to publish games (no Self signing/publishing like Sony). It has less graphical omph and isn't as modular (no sign of user upgradeable hard drive or bedroom developer kit). Microsoft also alienated everyone with the announcement of mandatory DRM controls and always on-line requirements, it was corporate madness and arrogance personified. It's launch price isn't doing itself any favours.

PS4 is your next gaming console, unless you want a glorified media center then the Xbox One is for you.
