New or existing? Two channel as opposed to multi channel for home cinema?

Re: Home Audio advice
Right i'm not clued up about this stuff so try and be gentle with me.
Currently my house has ceiling speakers in 5 rooms. They are switable on/off by some speaker distribution box in my living room.
The only speakers i have in my living room are Bose Accoustimass 3 (not too good). 2 small speakers and a sub.
The Bose are plugged into my Sonos amp then that is connected to the distribution box so i can play the same music everywhere in the house at the same time if i want to.
I want to put speakers at the other end of my living room, which is quite long, and just add these to the Sonos so i can still have the same music everywhere etc. The speakers i have been offered are Mission 703 floor standing speakers. Not sure if they are any good but the guy i am getting them from say they are.
I would think that the extra speakers and Bose would need an amp? Not sure if the Sonos would be powerful enough.
Does anyone know how i would go about adding these to the Sonos and recommend a cheap amp?

I've got sonos amps and in ceiling speakers and a couple play units in my place,
Why not just add another sonos connect to link the system? If you do that it means you can then have different zones as such?
I've got a spare one here if you need it? Was gonna use it with the ceiling speakers in the garage but building/fire regulations put a stop to it so use a play5 in there instead

Re: Home Audio advice
I did think of that before but the price put me off. Depends on how much you want for your one though
So if i did go down that route, how would i go about connecting the 2 new speakers and Bose setup together up to the Sonos in the living room?

I dont know much about sonos or the set up your setup, but I have messed around with alot of audio kit before with my cdjs.
So you are wanting to run 5 speakers of the sonos? What is the power from that, or even better how many speaker line outs are there? I have run more than the 4 line outs from my amp for a while. I just twisted the wires all together from two speakers that were on the same side (R or L) and it has not blown up yet. I have all tannoy speakers running from my amp.
Hope thats down the line you were thinking? If not sorry for the jibberish haha

Re: Home Audio advice
I think i might be able to do the same as you have with regards speaker wires. I want to have 2 speakers at one end of my living room and my Bose setup at the other. Not sure how much power the Sonos has but i can play all the ceiling speakers and Bose at once easily. The Sonos only has a left and right speaker outlet.
By the looks of it i might be better going with the extra Sonos route and then conecting the living room speaker wires like you have done. If there is a proper way to do this tehn i am sure someone will let me know.
I can't remember how i have the Bose connected to the Sonos at the moment. I'm at work and not home for a couple of weeks.

It sounds like a good amp so im sure it will have the safety cut out if it is to much for it. Its worth a shot. They usually all boil down to the same thing. If its only has one left and one right them it should be fine splitting it off from that. But...I would make sure before doing it. I dont want to be responsible for a disaster
Im just used to throwing the basics together to get loud sound out for parties or events in a rush.
