Haven't seen the video but I got stopped in the C6 recently, undercover F10 5 series. I was in ban territory. I was well spoken, told him usually I'm a scardey cat when it comes to speed and was just showing off in front of a mate. He sat me in the back of the car and told me he had 14 days advanced driver training and even he wouldn't buy an RS 6 as they are 'too quick for the roads'. Told me some stories of young people that had died driving quickly recently and let me off.
You HAVE to be courteous with these guys, most of them are reasonable and only doing their job, they don't deserve abuse IMO.

Its one thing to know your rights, quite another to go off like this guy did refering to bacon and pigs. Any such references like that in Glasgow and you will spend the night in the nick.

+3

it's not a good job to have if you have to deal with total knobs like that.

Amar's right, if you are polite and genuine, you seem to get better results than if you are arrogant and obnoxious.

although i did still get 3 points and a fine 2 weeks ago in the a4!
I used to own a 6, now I'm just a lurker!

I thought this guy did a brilliant job of asserting himself but let himself down with the bacon breath stuff. I do wonder what would have happened if they didn't have the camera.

Being polite and courteous didn't work for me. I answered my phone when a friend was breaking down mid convoy driving through roadworks with no hard shoulder. They didn't have any sympathy.

I did have a standup arguement with a copper in Cardiff once (he was on a bike!) when he insisted that I turned right at a 'no right turn' into a bus only road. I hadn't though. He insisted he was right. I was infact coming from the other direction and had turned left. He even threatened me with a night in the cells!
