While IT is my profession and passion, I have never, ever been a web developer/designer and don't pretend to be one. Running forums etc is easy enough for me and altering others code to suit my needs but that is about it.
My Valeter/Detailer friend is going from being a mobile service to actually having a fixed place of work where he is planning on also selling detailing products. He needs a decent web dev/designer that is also not going to charge him the earth to start off with. The guy works damn hard and prices his services a little too well in my opinion and really has the drive and passion to make a go of getting the next chapter of his life underway but needs advice from people that he trusts.
My fav designer has moved to Aus and I am having trouble getting hold of her so am getting a bit desperate, hence turning to you fine chaps. It is going to be a small but visually appealing detailing site that hopefully will also have an Ecommerce section too for product sales. I can provide all the necessary backend components via various CPanel/Fantastico! systems at my disposal or IIS-based servers if needed but that is just about where my expertise is going to end.
This guy isn't a Lawyer etc like most of my clients, he is a nice, normal guy that works damn hard for what he earns and this is a big venture for him so the costs for getting the site going have to be within reason as the cost of the premises etc are pretty eye-watering.
