Drivetrain

Post by DuncS3 » Thu Feb 13, 2003 10:28 am

Has anyone else here done the Drivetrain course with John Cave? I did a day with him this Monday. Really recommend it.
Basically he teaches 'advanced' driving, based on the police drving standards, so there is a lot of sticking to limits in towns etc, but when on the open road he instructs you on overtaking and positioning your car for maximum smoothness when going round corners

I really enjoyed the course and feel it has helped improve me as a driver.

The major thing I have taken away from this course, is that whereas before I thought the S3 didnt handle that well round bends (and I was looking to upgrade the suspension before this), is that it was me who couldnt drive the thing properly. Put the car in right and it doesnt roll or understeer like before

I've only ever done two courses in my life that were any good - this one and a persuasive presentations one at my work

yeah? Now change the suspension and now you've had your driving lessons, the car will really fly around the bends.

I've done the HPC course with John Lyons and that's highly recommended as well. I'm going to do some instruction with Don Palmer next I think.
