Always makes me wonder though why people seem to get excited when they know someone who shares the same birthday with someone else? With over 50+ million of us in the UK and only 365 days a year we are all bound to share the same birthday with someone else we know, unless of course your born on the 29th feb on the leap year.

I dont personally know 55 million people yet, but actually you only have to know 23 people before the probability that one of them shares your birthday is better than 50% as shown here :

When we went out for my 30th birthday, there was a girl in the restaurant who was born on exactly the same date as me. I noticed there was another 30th being celebrated, and had to ask....

Turns out she is about to get married, and they are going to the Maldives. Same as us!!!
