Accommodation Le mans Classic 2010

Post by Tomson » Mon Jan 11, 2010 7:29 pm

Hi All,

I know its a long shot (make that a very long shot) but I want some accommodation for my family and my brother-in-laws family for the classic this year.

All 'on-line' stuff has allready gone, so I wondered if anyone had anything, or any ideas. I don't mind a drive to the circuit, I just need to accomodate 4 kids and 4 adults.

Thanks,

Tom

Why not camp? More fun. Have been to BSJ for the last few years and is fun, or is that not open for the Classic?
B5 S4 Saloon Widebody Track Car.
B5 RS4 - now sold.

Whilst I camp for the 24 hour race, I stay in hotels for the Classic as there are usually wifes etc involved rather than... I have twice now booked hotels in Le Mans town way in advance and twice had the booking cancelled by the hotel about a fortnight before the event, dumping everyone in the mire, so beware, although you are unlikely to get accommodation in town by now other than at outrageous cost (1,000 euros a night in Novotel last time). Whilst you should get accommodation in Tours it is a bit of a hike especially as in our case we had to go there first to pick up the keys before coming back to Le Mans and then going back to Tours after dinner. You should try the the Campagnile in Sable sur Sarthe, it is not so far and a nice drive anyway. Its a modern budget motel, I've stayed there twice for very sensible money. I'm trying to get in on a block booking with the Porsche Club this year but I think I have left it too late. If you find anything perhaps you can post it or PM me.

Nothing as yet Paul, looking increasingly like sleeping bags in cars for a quick two day scene. I have slept on the corner at Mulsanne many times, enough alcohol and I can sleep anywhere.
