1995 Subaru Impreza WRX Jap import: owned for nearly 4 years, then some lowlife steals it from outside my house; uses it in a smash & grab; gets recovered; now written off; awaiting for insurance settlement (next week). Fantastic drive; never let me down once.

1990 TVR S3c: looked nice, sounded nice (V6), didn't go around corners well, bad electrical problems. Owned for 12 months, only on the road for 8 months. Possible "Friday car".

1977 MGB Roadster: owned and run daily (even through winter) for 5 years. Great fun. Learnt alot about mechanics...mainly through working on it on many a cold Sunday morning with my father!


Collecting my replacement for the Impreza (hopefully) within the next 7-10 days: 2003 S3, ming blue, fully loaded.
Been driving my girlfriends Smart car over the last month (good fun... but looking forward to returning to more power!)


Future potential purchases: RS3 or RS4, Lotus Elise S2 111S, RS6, Carrera 4S

Totally in the same boat mate.. would die for a 911 Turbo or GT2, but at my time of life it's just not practical.. that's why I'm no.1 at my dealers for the next RS4 [img]images/graemlins/clap.gif[/img]

Dave, have they taken a deposit ?
I can't get my dealers to even keep a record of my name for a new RS4, as they won't acknowledge whether one will be built [img]images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I missed the boat last time around for the RS4 because of this, and don't want to end up with the same happeninng again if I can help it. Any advice ?

They know that I'm a good customer and the sales guy is a good friend , so when he hears I'll hear [img]images/graemlins/clap.gif[/img] [ plus, I suppose it's good for him to get the sales]
