Quattro should be the law in these conditions. It's not the snow that stops you getting to work, it's lesser mortals with lesser driving wheels blocking the roads. Had to turn around from my normal back route to work and take the North Circular this morning, for that very reason.

It's not the going (and hence 4WD) but the stopping that's the key!! 2 tonnes of precious motor on 255 section skis - no thanks. If I had snow tyres I'd be out like a shot, but not on regular rubber - mind you, the others then just plough into the back of you!

Snow in UK  Snow in Norway :rocker:

Had no issues stopping, just left plenty of room.

The girlfriend parked her car (Golf TDi) on the drive down hill ..... big mistake! Couldn't get the car off by reversing, so we ended up doing a U turn onto the neighbours drive, then it drove off easily going forward! Thats FWD for ya!

I've left mine at home today, didn't fancy some bell going into the side/back

I've taken the day off work tomorrow so I don't have to drive when it's all turned to ice tonight...
