i dont understand the ins and out of tax issues, but over on www.passionford.com , they had the same thing, lots of costs involved and set up a gold members scheme of £20, all volentery, it is not a club, like this site, just a very good reference forum, might be worth getting in contact with the main man there for some info?

I think you guys do a great job.
In another life I run a very large web site plus discussion forum etc, and we set it up as a separate limited co. Set up doesn't cost much though the accountants etc take a slice each year. Other advantage is that you are less at risk if some clown reads some advice here, wrecks his motor, and then decides to try and sue you!
Having said that, we have never "made money", though after about four years we are at break even - in fact I must go and pay the corporation tax bill - £1.90!! Think we can find that in a tin somewhere!
