an a Hillman Minx 3b,
in Bristol.
My first car I got in 1967, a 1962 VW Beetle 1200 .... closest could get to a Porsche....... certainly teaches you to catch a slide quickly, and to plan any overtaking well in advance allowing double the distance you think you need.
I also had my fist accident in it, when I learnt that locked up front wheels don't allow steering. It wasn't a deep deep ditch but did need a breakdown truck to haul it out and off for a few new bits
