SURELY THE BELOW MAIL I RECD IS A SCAM??

I got your message. There is only one complication, I am not around to inspect it because I am not local. How long have you owned it?
I want to have your word before I commence to making payment as I do not wish to be burned. I have made several payment for items I don't get. Provide more recent pictures.
Presently, I am not available to come inspect it, but will arrange with a proxy agency that will handle the pick-up and handling from your destination to CHINA.
Kindly get back to me with your full names for shipment/pick up bookings as well as your PayPal email address. PayPal is quite easy to sing-up with, if you do not have one, kindly sign-up and have it linked to your bank account. Go to www.paypal.com to sign up.

Yes - just tell them collection in person and cash only - string them along if you fancy a laugh or just tell them to get stuffed

Thats a scam

As above ebay classifieds is good, piston heads (paid advert) and autotrader..

Really need to get maximum exposure at this time of year.

A/t 2 weeks approx £24
Piston heads 1 mth £14
Ebay classified add 1 mth approx £15

Hopefully sells within the above timeframes so you dnt need to readvertise !

Anything you get in your email inbox with bad spelling / grammer / talk of bank accounts and foreign countries is guaranteed to be some sort of scam.

A genuine buyer will pick up the phone and talk to you.

Pistonheads is by far your best bet. Took a deposit for my Escort Cossie within 2 days of my listing going up and the buyer flew up from London to collect within 10 days (only because I was away the 1st weekend he wanted to come collect)
Again he was one of the few who actually phoned to speak to me, asked the right questions and requested more photos.
Ebay is alright but brings with it high listing and selling fees.
Autotrader generated no interest for me although Top Marques may be a better alternative.

Plenty of standard issue time-wasting clowns to look out for:
1. The Part Exchangers - when I clearly wrote on my ad it was outright sale only but they still insist on chancing their luck with a piece of shlt "modified" yellow Mondeo which has been driven through Halfords backwards and had every conceivable plastic add-on, added on.

2. The serial text-pests who quite happily sit and ping-pong messages to you constantly using indecipherable teenage text acronyms which takes you about year to translate.
LEARN TO WRITE PROPER WORDS USING ALL VOWELS!! Better still, pick up the phone, I could tell you more in a minute of talking than I can in 15 odd text messages.

3. The dodgy can't be arsed viewer - "Yeah, I really like your car and have the money for it but Aberdeen is too far away. Can you meet me in Birmingham?"
Yeah OK, I'll just make the 5 hour journey south after work shall I and let you kick the tyres a bit before changing your mind and I have to drive it all the way home? Or worse you turn up mob handed and just take my car from me!
Tell you what, transfer the full asking amount into my bank account first then I'll drive it anywhere you want!

Rant over!

And best of luck with the sale!

Decided to take my RS4 off the road. Don't want to put more miles on it and with the bad weather as well. Would just be my luck if I went sideways into a hedge!! Car now in warm lock up garage until sold!!
