Anyone want to buy a c6 Rs6?

Post by Holmax » Tue Nov 09, 2010 9:43 pm

Hi guys,
I've just got rid of my Rs6 a week ago. I part exchanged it for a new Merc E63 Amg.
I've just been looking for my old car (as you do!) and noticed that Peterborough Audi have in fact got it up for sale. Reg is: OV09 LMX
The Merc dealer at york did a fast job in moving it along.
If anyone is thinking of buying it, I got £50,000 for it and they have it up for £59,995. Should be a good bit of info for anyone to use as a bartering tool.
Forwarned is forarmed as they say!

P.s
If anyone wants any info about the car, feel free to drop me a p.m

Probably, although the sales guy at mercedes (whom I have a good relationship with) said that they let it go for what they gave me.
Not sure if he is telling porkies but he did say the manager was desperate to get rid as they are a heavy depreciator.

Maybe when you traded it in, they had it underwritten by them ? so thats how it maybe ended up there?

I think most dealers just pass cars like ours straight on .. When I traded in the Cayenne all Reading Audi did was call Porsche dealers and see what they where offered and passed that to me .. I rang the Porsche dealer I knew they where dealing with and they offered me exactly the same directly .. Seems they dont want "none own marque" cars sat on their forcourts these days
Ex RS6 C6 Driver, gone but not forgotten.. The best car I have ever owned

Alot offer the owner less than what theyve been bid to make a profit on both ends of the deal,it really is worth shopping around at indies as main dealers are generally very greedy offering way less than trade

I did make a few calls just before I got rid of it and the best price I got was a grand less than what mercedes gave me for it so I guess I didn't do too badly.
The suprising thing was that most of the audi dealers didn't want it. They explained that because the production run has come to an end audi have a few in stock (ex press demonstrators etc) so if they want one they just go direct to audi. It saves them having one on the forecourt that will lose money if they don't get rid of it fairly quickly. I can see their point and can't blame them for it.

shocking, isn't it - how the car can be the flagship of the model range one day and they won't touch it with a barge-pole the next. Not a nice feeling really.
