i have been looking for an Rs4 avant for a few months , but I am a bit fussy on colour prefering sprint blue as my favourite colour , i have 25K in the bank.... is this realistic to land my dream car , i had a deposit on a car this week only to get gazumpted before paying the full price , theres a few on ebay for 28K but both have high milage and dealer wont budge on price , any advice would be helpful ..great site by the way!!!

Best colour
Good luck, the right one will come along, don't settle for one that's not exactly what you want!

I think your post kinda answers your own question,28k for high milers and you want low miles for 25k,theyve slipped a little recently but i think a low mileage saloon for 25k would be a challenge never mind an avant,i wouldnt rule out higher miles if its overall a mint car,ive seen supposedly very low mileage cars that are tatty, the oldest are over 4 years old now and uncared for cars will show it,good luck in your search

raise more money.
i have a sprint blue avant...07/07 that i'm looking to get out off at the minute, current target is another SL55 and i've been bid 28 for it...i've declined as i see it at 28k for money all day, so i would need more as a swapper.
done 34k and i'm the second owner.
buckets/nav/flat bottom wheel etc, warranty until feb...condition is a1 bar rear tyres that could probably do with a change.

Just had a quick look myself in the usual places out of interest and it looks like prices have firmed up a fair bit for both saloon and avant.

seems reasonable with the mileage

Seems a bit more than reasonable at that price, theres cars with more miles and more ££££ needs viewing really as if its due brakes/ tyres soon theres £2-3k alone, then a 40k £29995 car with decent rubber etc becomes better prospect,on face value it looks a bargain the only avant ive seen in this price area has had much bigger miles

Thanks to all the people with their help , checked out pistonheads on friday and found an 2007 rs4 avant in sprint blue at £25,000, raced down to the dealers in surrey and bought it there and then , drove it back home in the pouring rain , took it for a proper run today ,ITS A BEAST .. car looks beautiful not a mark on it , must admit have been a bit shocked by the agressiveness of it , hopefully will get use to it , my mrs too frightened to drive it , will take some piccys and upload later , loads of questions to ask .. will do some reseach first
once again thanks everyone
