Better prices paid for gold!

As a Jeweller i have an ongoing requirement for materials for use in the manufacture and repair of Jewellery. With the current metal prices being so high this buisness has become increasingly expensive and my reliance on scrap purchases has grown on an equal scale.

You have probably seen the numerous TV adverts offering 'cash for gold', and in a nutshell this post is pretty similar. There is one difference though. Where the TV buyers are purchasing the materials for a straight sale onto the refiners i am buying for use in the trade and can offer much better rates.

If you are looking to sell some of your old gold to release some cash then please get in touch. Rates obviously vary from day to day, based on the price of gold at the time of sale but you will always get a better deal from a jeweller than a bullion dealer / buyer.

Please PM me if you are interested. As a fellow S/RS'er i'll obviously do my best for you and in return i'll be able to run more efficiently and at a reduced cost.

I also purchase platinum, diamonds and other precious stones so whatever you have, i can use it.

Based on todays (27th April 2010) prices I'd be paying about £6 - £6.50 a gram for 9ct. The highstreet might see you only getting £4 - £5 a gram.

If its a large amount that comes along i'll pay more like £6.75 - £7 a gram if its worth my while.

Have to say guys this is a fair deal. My wife has used many of the online guys and the best so far has been Ramsdens Gold which are currently offering £6 per gram and they are the best by quite a bit, so give Eddie your business as he is being more than fair IMHO !!!!

Thanks for that jamesthecat. Maybe you local pawn shop is in the same boat as me. Why are you offering £8 a gram anyway? Zero profit in that for you seeing as there is always a percentsge lost in the refining.

And also, if you want to shoot down a memeber on here then please do it via PM.

Thanks Carl. I think i'll delete the thread to avoid any more 'silly men' turning up in the future. I was only providing a service. If i wanted to rip people off, i'd be giving a lot less. But thats not the way i work.
