Westfield Powered by COSWORTH

OK, I know this isn't the usual sort of car you see advertised on here, but even so, worth a try (might swap for somethign interesting and more seats!):

Westfield SEiW powered by Cosworth
2001 Reg (Y plate, private plate not in the sale)
Mileage – 3,500
Tax and MOT – May 2010

This car is truly stunning and I will be devastated to see it go (especially with summer ahead). The reason for sale is due to our first child being born and thus not getting enough time out in it. I want to buy a more practical toy (a 2 plus 2 perhaps) so we can all go out...

This car is in perfect condition. It is like new… It has never been tracked or driven in the rain. It is garaged and kept under a car cover. It is polished regularly (after each drive) and maintained fastidiously. Everywhere it goes, it draws a crowd, so don't buy this car if you don't want to be noticed.

The performance and driving experience is amazing - words can't describe it. It handles very well, unlike any other car I have driven and the acceleration is nothing short of breath-taking (coming from a Grizzled, remapped RS6 owner, this is a statement in itself).

The quickness is due to the 2.0 Sierra Cosworth engine and subsequent big power-to-weight ratio. The noise is addictive, the turbo spooling up and atmospheric dump valve. It is an awesome experience and true machine…

I hear that a chip and injectors would take this car to around 300bhp and with a turbo and a bit of work, this car could exceed 550bhp... all that said, it is already stupidly quick and, in my eyes, enough (I suppose if you are insane you could do these things!)

Other things are:

Cobra Bucket Seats in leather
Willans Harnesses
VDO instrument gauges
Adjustable Spax Suspension
Bailey dump valve (atmospheric)
Pipercross Induction filter
Stainless steel exhaust
Genuine carbon fibre arch protectors
Genuine carbon fibre sill protectors
Momo gearknob (carbpn fibre)
Racetech rear view mirror
Alloy wheels
Cross drilled dics all round

There might be other bits and bobs; so a viewing is recommended.

This car was recently serviced with new battery, iridium plugs and leads etc. Of course, the engine and gearbox were serviced and rebuilt prior to being put into the car and given the mileage and maintenance, I am sure buyers can appreciate that consumables such as tyres and brakes etc. have plenty of miles left in them.

I have all the receipts; pages and pages of it. From the chassis itself to the seats, dials, harnesses, mirrors, oil, brakes, pads… you name it. I have it.
Importantly, this car is cheap to run and cheap to insure through specialists (I paid £200 fully comp last year, aged 25 and living in Manchester!) The car uses all Westfield or Ford parts. Even the side repeaters are ford. Parts will therefore be easy to come by for future development and even though it's fast enough for me, given that Cosworth still has such a huge 'cult' following, there's always scope for further modifications.

The only two minor points are:

1) A small oil leak which was spotted up on the ramp during MOT time (this, I have been informed is a seal and will be around £150 to fix)
2) And a slightly clunky gear change when changing down from 5th to fourth (rarely do you make this shift anyway!)
3) No wet weather gear. Like I say, the car is pristine and my intention during ownership was for warm and dry use only.

Of course, these minor points have been reflected in the price of the car and for such a rare and unique spec in such pristine condition, I think someone has the opportunity to pick up an amazing car that I will genuinely miss.

Viewing highly recommended (no test pilots/tyre-kickers) or more pics available on request

Price - £12,500 (offers welcome but don't be silly!)

Cheers mate. It certainly is a bit of an animal. The main thing is not just the speed, but the whole experience eg the wind, noise, being so close to the ground.

Cheers mate.

Sorry to sound thick, but what do you mean by "any nibbles?"

Ah!

Well, I have only had it up a short while, but disappointingly, the answer is no.

Perhaps it's the "crinkle crunch" but I'm not worried. I know the first to see will buy as one test drive is all it will take!

Yep i meant nibbles as in bites, interested parties or serious enqiries David. When i put my RS2 up for sale i had a call within and hour and a deposit in the bank next day...the guy then went out and bought a RS4 instead  ive just reduced her by four figures to help her find a new home :(

Good luck with the RS2 then.

The Westy could stay I suppose. It's an amazing motor and the missus is urging me to keep it, but I'd rather have a toy with seats for us all.
